I live in North Yorkshire with my husband and our four wonderful dogs, Seth, Arthur, Stanley and Peter. I have extensive experience in supporting humans and dogs to learn and develop their skills and am fascinated by communication and interactions between humans and their canine companions and how these can be used to enhance the well-being of both parties.

In 2016, I attended my first Talking Dogs Scentwork class to learn the skills to provide mental stimulation for one of my working cocker spaniels, Seth who had always struggled to settle and to feel comfortable, especially in group settings. Seth and I quickly became Scentwork addicts and together we worked through the different levels and processes to enable me to become an Accredited Talking Dogs Scentwork Trainer. I founded Scentwork Yorkshire in 2018 to enable me to share my love of Scentwork with others.

In 2020, I founded North Yorkshire Canicross, having discovered Canicross a few years earlier with my first cocker spaniel, Charlie. Starting as a complete running novice, I have developed a strong passion for running and, with the support of my four spaniels, trained for and successfully completed many events, from 5K Canicross races through to 100 mile+ ultra trail marathons. Early in 2022 I became one of the first people to achieve the status of Qualified Canicross Coach.

Stanley was the inspiration for me to attend training with the International Dog Parkour Association and add North Yorkshire Dog Parkour to my coaching offers. Stanley is a rescue dog and came to live with our spaniel gang in 2019. He hadn’t had the best start in life, resulting in reactivity to many things and poor body awareness. Parkour has enabled Stanley to build his confidence in himself, our bond with each other and his awareness of where his back legs are!

Having enjoyed the benefits of Scentwork, Canicross and Dog Parkour with my own dogs, I have completed extensive training to enable me to use my knowledge and skills to coach others to learn and safely enjoy these fabulous activities.
